SYNOPSIS
Urban teen Michael “Kofi” Johnson from the Bronx discovers a mysterious book on a school trip to a museum with friends Ayden and Kiera. When Kofi witnesses an odd man, Dr. Igno, trying to steal the book, he intercepts it. Unknowingly, he activates the book’s powers, transforming into a stronger, older version of himself and meeting Zahra, an oracle who guards the book. She reveals that with each chapter read, Kofi gains new abilities, but also becomes bound to the book.
Now pursued by Dr. Igno, who’s relentless in his quest to retrieve the book, Kofi learns he has super strength but lacks invulnerability, making him hesitant about his newfound power. Though uncertain, he finds himself using his abilities to protect others, even foiling a robbery at a corner store. As Kofi trains to unlock more powers, he grapples with his double life, knowing Dr. Igno will stop at nothing to get the book back, enlisting dangerous allies in his pursuit.
