SYNOPSIS

Bradley Whitehall is having the worst Monday of his life.

In Atlanta for an insurance convention, the exhausted regional account executive gets fired before lunch — leaving him unemployed, stranded with nine hours before his flight, and desperate to take the edge off. One Google search for weed leads Bradley to a gas station and L Boogie, a hustler who takes one look at him and sees easy money. Forty dollars later, Bradley discovers he's been sold a Crown Royal bag full of oregano. Enter Lil Spoon — an Atlanta native who witnesses the entire finesse and decides helping this painfully out-of-place stranger get his forty dollars back might be the funniest thing he does all day. It should've taken twenty minutes.

CONCEPT:

ONE CITY. ONE DAY. ONE TERRIBLE DECISION AFTER ANOTHER.

White Men Can't Trap is a fast-moving Atlanta buddy comedy built around one simple idea:

What happens when a man who's spent his entire life following the rules suddenly has absolutely nothing left to lose?

Bradley begins the day as an insurance executive who rehearses how to ask someone for weed in his rearview mirror.

By nightfall, he's survived a police chase, violated the sacred laws of spades, gotten high at somebody else's cookout, received an unforgivable fade, joined a step team, gone viral and ended up inside Magic City. Atlanta isn't simply the backdrop.

Atlanta is the third lead

TONE:

FAST. RAW. CULTURAL. RIDICULOUS. ATLANTA.

The comedy comes from character and collision, not parody.

Bradley isn't trying to become somebody he's not. Spoon isn't teaching him how to “act Black.” They're two very different white men who somehow exist on opposite sides of the same city — and the humor comes from throwing them together and refusing to let the day slow down.

The world should feel lived-in, recognizable and authentically Atlanta: gas stations, old Impalas, Hellcats, cookouts, spades tables, backyard barbers, college culture, viral moments, strip clubs and lemon-pepper wings.

The crazier Bradley's day becomes, the more alive he becomes.
